I consult on study methodology for sport & exercise physiology research: experimental protocol design, data processing, and statistical analysis. Current collaborations include five laboratory groups at UBC and principal investigators and students at other Canadian and international universities. See Publications for collaborative work.

  • Translating research questions into appropriate experimental design and statistical tests
  • mNIRS: protocol design, signal processing, analysis, interpretation, application
  • Generalised and hierarchical (mixed-effects) modelling, equivalence testing
  • Reproducible project architecture (Git, {targets}, Quarto)
  • Data visualisation and publication figures
  • R package and Shiny app development

Clinical education & athlete consulting

Internationally recognised clinical researcher in flow limitations in the iliac arteries (FLIA) and sport-related vascular conditions in endurance athletes. Collaborator with the International Study group for Identification and Treatment of Endofibrosis (INSITE).
